The Blue Heron Bookstore Plans Harry Potter Fest July 20^th & 21^st to Celebrate Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Book Release

Peninsula, Ohio - The much anticipated release of the last and final installment of the Harry Potter book series is scheduled for release July 21^st at 12:01 am. Countdown has begun and Harry Potter fans from across the nation and around the world are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the last book in J.K. Rowling’s best-selling Harry Potter book series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. One hundred fifty-four days and counting; plans are now underway for exciting midnight parties throughout the country and, in particular, at the Blue Heron Bookstore in Peninsula, Ohio

The Village of Peninsula will become the World of Harry Potter with the help of local businesses, organizations and residents. Area retailers will be transformed into beloved locations from the books, such as Flourish & Blotts (Blue Heron Book Store), Honeydukes Sweet Shop (Yellow Creek Trading Company), Eeylops Owl Emporium (The Downtown Emporium), and Ollivander’s Wand Shop (Elements Gallery).

By reserving a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows through the Blue Heron Bookstore, fans can attend exclusive themed events throughout the weekend festivities, including a ride on the Wizard Express (Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad), a Feast in the Great Hall (Happy Days Visitor Center), Start of Term Ball (Boston Township Hall), Hogwarts Classes (G.A.R. Hall), Sorting Ceremonies and a Quidditch Match. Witches, wizards and favorite characters from the stories will roam the streets of the Enchanted Village (Peninsula) and the Forbidden Forest (Cuyahoga Valley National Park). Participants receive a Marauder’s Map. The map is a wonderful keepsake of the event and is part of the competition between Harry Potter Fest participants for the House Cup Award. Other contests for participants include: an essay contest, an illustration contest, and several costume contests.

Harry Potter devotees can place an advance order for the book from The Blue Heron Bookstore which entitles one to receive a 15% discount off the book and gain entrée into Harry Potter Fest. There are three ways to register:

2. Fax: Download a printable order form from the website and fax your order to the Blue Heron Bookstore at (330) 657-2576.

Special events are currently in the planning stages. Customers will be notified when tickets for these events will become available. Updates will be posted on the website.
