Take a Ride on the Wizard Express

Harry Potter Fest July 20^th & 21^st

Peninsula, Ohio – All Aboard! You don’t have to run into a brick wall to reach this platform. Take a magical ride on the Wizard Express (Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad). Two round-trip rides will be offered, one from the Independence Station and another from the Akron Station, full of fellow costumed witches and wizards headed to Harry Potter Fest, celebrating the release of J. K. Rowling’s seventh and final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Stepping off the train riders will enter the Enchanted Village (Peninsula). Fans will recognize their favorite shops from the World of Harry Potter including The Leaky Cauldron (Winking Lizard), Flourish & Blotts (Blue Heron Bookstore), Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour (Fisher’s Restaurant), Slug and Jiggers Apothecary (Crooked River Herb Farm Shop), Honeydukes Sweet Shop (Yellow Creek Trading Company) and more. Come experience a magical evening of fun, food and entertainment with fellow Harry Potter fans.

"We are excited to be participating in Harry Potter Fest," said Peggy Wood of Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, "Children and adults will love this unique opportunity to ride the Wizard Express just like Harry, Ron, and Hermione."

"The train ride will be complete with soundtrack music from the Harry Potter movies, costumed witches and wizards, and a Sorting Ceremony led by Professor McGonagall," said Wood.

The Wizard Express will include a special car, the Wizard Express Coach Ltd. (Saint Lucie Sound), which will be available for evening rental by a corporate sponsor.
