Become Part of the Magical World of Harry Potter

Harry Potter Fest July 20th/21st

Peninsula, Ohio – To celebrate the launch of J.K. Rowling’s seventh Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the Village of Peninsula will transform into an Enchanted Village and the World of Harry Potter. Area retailers will magically transfigure into places from the books, such as Flourish & Blotts (Blue Heron Book Store), Slug & Jiggers Apothecary (Crooked River Herb Farm Shop), Honeydukes Sweet Shop (Yellow Creek Trading Company), Eeylops Owl Emporium (The Downtown Emporium), and Ollivander’s Wand Shop (Elements Gallery) to name a few.  Additionally, fans can attend special themed events throughout the festivities, including a ride on the Wizard Express (Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad), a Feast in the Great Hall (Happy Days Visitor Center), Start of Term Ball (G.A.R. Hall), Hogwarts Classes (Boston Township Hall), Sorting Ceremonies, and a Quidditch Match (Heritage Farms).  Witches, wizards and favorite characters from the stories will roam the streets of the Enchanted Village (Peninsula) and the Forbidden Forest (Cuyahoga Valley National Park).

“Harry Potter Fest is one of the largest Harry Potter parties in the country”, said Debbie D’Andrea of the Blue Heron Bookstore.  “We were mentioned in USA today for the last Harry Potter Fest book release party because of the unique, special events we hosted and the tremendous turnout of Harry Potter fans.  There’s no better place to be to celebrate the release of the last Harry Potter book than in Peninsula, Ohio at Harry Potter Fest.”
